Last Updated: September 10, 2026

Welcome to Boardflare, which includes this website and our app extensions for Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, together our “Services.” By using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms of use, along with our privacy policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, do not use our Services.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: The Services are general-purpose productivity and development tools. Outputs, calculations, generated code, and other results may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be independently reviewed before they are used for consequential decisions. Do not use the Services as the sole basis for safety-critical, regulated, financial, engineering, or other decisions where an error could cause significant harm or loss.

The terms “us” or “we” refer to Whistler Networks Inc., doing business as Boardflare. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of the Services.

  1. Responsible Use and Verification You are responsible for determining whether the Services are appropriate for your intended use and for independently reviewing and validating formulas, functions, calculations, generated code, algorithms, and outputs before relying on them. The Services are not a substitute for qualified professional judgment, required controls, or human review in high-impact or regulated workflows.

  2. Acceptable Use Policy You agree to use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Your use must not infringe on the rights of others, violate legal obligations, or involve illegal or unethical activities. When using third-party content or data within the Services, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable licenses and permissions. We are not responsible for verifying the legality, ownership, or accuracy of third-party content. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from misuse of data or third-party content. In case of a violation, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services without prior notice.

  3. License to Use We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services without our prior written consent.

  4. Intellectual Property and Customer Content All intellectual property rights in the Services, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents, belong to us or our licensors. You retain ownership of code, workbook content, prompts, data, and other content you create or provide through the Services, and Boardflare does not claim ownership of that content. Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used to improve the Services.

For Python for Excel, ordinary Python calculation executes in the user’s browser or add-in WebView. Boardflare does not routinely collect Python source code, workbook values, or calculation results through product analytics or application error telemetry. Some features create separate data paths only when they are used or initiated, including AI authoring, notebook-authored requests to external services, and information you choose to provide for support. Those destinations may receive the content necessary to provide the requested feature.

When you use AI authoring, requests can include prompts, code, and notebook or workbook-derived context selected or supplied for the AI action. These requests are processed through Boardflare’s AI service infrastructure and Google model services. Boardflare and its configured AI provider do not use customer requests for model training. AI gateway logs may include prompt and request information and are retained for up to one month. For additional technical detail about Python for Excel data paths, see Security and Data Flow.

  5. No Warranty (“As-Is” and “As-Available”) The Services are provided strictly “as-is” and “as-available” without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We explicitly disclaim any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any calculation result, algorithm, generated code, or other output produced by the Services. We do not guarantee that the Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

  6. Changes to Services and Source Code We reserve the right to modify, update, deprecate, or remove any part of the Services, including functions, calculators, algorithms, and source code, at any time and without prior notice. We do not guarantee ongoing support or backward compatibility for any specific function or feature.

  7. Limitation of Liability We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to economic loss, loss of profits, data loss, or damages resulting from incorrect calculation results in our add-ins or online web calculators. You are solely responsible for the outcomes of using the Services, and you assume full responsibility for verifying all outputs. By using the Services, you release us from any and all liability and agree to indemnify us against any claims or damages resulting from your use or reliance on the Services.

  8. Third-Party Content and Services The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, models, package repositories, or content. We do not endorse or take responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of third-party content, and third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

  9. Support These terms do not entitle you to any support for the Services.

  10. Governing Law Your use of the Services and any disputes arising from such use are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
